NeuroImaging

Central Nervous System (brain, spine)

The 10 Neuroradiologists comprising the Neuroimaging section provide 24/7 final subspecialty interpretations for all CT and MRI examinations of the Brain, Spine, Head and Neck, including the craniocerebral blood vessels.

We work closely with the award winning Cone Stroke Center to provide rapid interpretation of Code Stroke CT scans, supplemented with CT Angiography, CT Perfusion, or Cerebral Angiography for catheter thrombolysis by our Neurointerventional team, where appropriate.

We participate in all Head/Neck and Brain Tumor cancer conferences as moderator of patients' imaging studies across multiple sites of care.   We also coordinate Neuroimaging to allow accurate targeting for Stereotactic Radiosurgery  performed at the Cone Cancer Center.

Diagnostic and interventional procedures on the Spine are performed by members of the section at many of the hospital sites, but most commonly are conducted at our Outpatient Spine Center at Greensboro Imaging (315 Wendover Avenue).
